Lac La Biche Marathon | Edmonton Childrens Photographer

Last weekend I made the trip up to Lac La Biche to do photos for 3 families. I raced against the clouds and got to town just when the magic light was available. We started off on a beach in Churchill Provincial Park…I think thats the place, and it was beautiful. I have way too many great photos for each family to pick from, so I’m just putting a few of my favorties from each up for a sneak peek. It was a great time, and I’m so happy everything worked out. A Special Family | Edmonton family photography

This is the M Family. They are, without a doubt, the most amazing family I’ve ever had the priviledge of meeting through my photography. Mom first came to me back in 2004 for a family portrait session. That session I remember so well. Everyone was happy, having fun, joking around and most of all soo full of love. Last summer, I received and email from Gillian and as I read it, I broke down and couldn’t believe the words I was reading. Jake, the middle boy passed away suddenly after a tragic accident in May 2007. As I read the words, I sobbed thinking about the family. Jake was 2 days older than my son Jordan and maybe knowing that made it impossible for me to comprehend. Gillian asked if the photos from their session were available, and if so could she see them. Of course, I immediately searched through my archived disks and found the images and arranged for her to have the disk to view and keep. My friend and fellow photographer Iasha Tryhuba and I also gave them a gallery wrapped canvas print of a family portrait from 2004.

 We discussed getting together again in the future for a session again and last Friday we arranged to do some family portraits. It was so humbling to see this family again and see the love between them. They were so happy, having fun, joking around and all the while, keeping Jake close by. A beautiful photo of Jake was always close and we made sure that he was a part of this session. I truly feel blessed to have met this family and to know them. They are so amazing, and I’m honored to be able to be their photographer.

Baby Isabella | Edmonton Newborn Photographer

Earlier this week, I got to meet Isabella, a beautiful baby girl. At 3 weeks old, she fought hard to stay awake, but eventually she fell asleep and gave us these beautiful pictures. I’m sharing a couple now for a sneak peek.

Baby “B” | Edmonton Newborn Photographer

Maternity | Edmonton maternity & kids photography

Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of meeting J and her daughter for a maternity session. Her daughter “S” is soo excited to become a big sister and later on her cousin came to have her photo taken as well for a surprise for their grandmother. Three very cool kids | Edmonton Children’s Photographer

I am sooo happy that winter is finally behind us! What a rotten tease spring was and now it’s nothing but smooth sailing.. for a couple months anyway. A few days ago I received an email from Carrie who’s children I photographed years ago asking for some updated photos before they move out of province. I was so excited to see these kids again cause they have such great personalities and are a delight to photograph. We met downtown and wandered around stopping here and there just being totally casual and fun. These are a few from our day.

It was soo nice to see you all again! Thank you for the great time and I hope you enjoy these sneak peeks.

Twice as Nice

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting twins baby “P” and baby “K” Boy girl twins are just the cutest and these two stole my heart. I caught myself a few times with my camera down, just starring at them while they laid there sound asleep. These are just a couple from the session and the gallery will be up shortly.

Beautiful People | Edmonton baby photographer

I’ve been a bad blogger. I’ve had soo much going on the last few months both personally and work wise that I have neglected my blog. Thankfully, things seem to be calming down now so I can get back in focus.

I want to share a few images from my session with baby L. Her parents came to me back in January for a maternity session and I still can’t get over how beautiful and photogenic they were. Of course, their new baby girl was equally gorgeous. She wasn’t quite up for sleeping soundly, but when she was held, she was happy. Here are just a few :)
